Research on Autonomic Control System Connection Goal-model and Fault-tree

This paper presents research on an autonomic control system that connects a goal-model with a fault-tree. Recently, intelligent manufacturing systems have emerged in 4M1E (Man, Machine, Method, Material, Energy) environments such as industry4.0 and Smart Factory. However, autonomic control systems in the existing research do not provide a complete process from monitoring to strategy execution. Thus, this paper proposes an autonomic control system with a methodology that consists of four steps, viz. 1) Goal-model constraints mapping, 2) Monitoring the goal-model, 3) Request problem recognition and diagnosis, 4) Problem diagnosis and strategy execution. This methodology can be integrated with existing autonomic control systems and applied to real systems.
