摘要
The Indian Test Facility (INTF) for Neutral Beams is designed with the objective to not only test the performance of an ion source but also to characterize the transmission of the Neutral Beam to a length of 20.66 m and thereby generate adequate database on the quality of the beam that is required for the CXRS diagnostics for measurement of Helium ash content in the fusion plasma.Considerable progress has been registered in the development of unique set of technologies. Several prototype activities have been initiated to realize full scale component development and their performance. Incorporation of advanced diagnostics concepts supports the end objective of performing measurements that qualify the mandate. The experience gathered in the different phases of design, manufacturing and integration of full length NBI test facility, in India, that has a mandate to demonstrate the production of 60 A of negative Hydrogen ion beams @ 100 kV of acceleration voltage and its transportation to lengths > 20 m.
