An Internet-based Learning and Stage-matched Message Intervention to Improve Hand Hygiene Adherence Among Healthcare Workers in Guatemala
American Journal of Infection Control(2016)
摘要
BACKGROUND: The Thranstheoretical Model of Health Behavior Change (TTM) is a powerful framework to motivate healthcare workers (HCWs) to move toward actual hand hygiene (HH) behavior change. We implemented a 2-component intervention based on the TTM: (1) a 4-module HH Internet-Based Learning course (IBL) and, (2) a series of weekly stage-matched messages that followed the TTM processes of change. We aimed to assess the behavioral-based intervention to improve HH compliance rates among HCWs.
