摘要
Hybrid necrosis is a genetic inferiority characterized by early death of leaves or hybrid plants in wheat (Triticum aestivum L.), and it is caused by the interaction of dominant genes Ne1 and Ne2 on chromosome arms 5BL and 2BS, respectively. To provide foundation materials for understanding the mechanisms causing hybrid necrosis, we developed a winter wheat line, ShunMai yyAh (Reg. No. GS-184, PI 673347) with the genotype Ne1Ne1Ne2Ne2 and its near isogenic line (NIL) sibling ShunMai yyAf with the genotype Ne1Ne1ne2ne2 at the Wheat Breeding Innovation Group in the Cotton Research Institute of Shanxi Agriculture Science Academy. ShunMai yyAh was derived from the crosses between wheat cultivars 'Pan555' and 'Zheng891', which carry Ne2 and Ne1, respectively. ShunMai yyAh consistently expresses hybrid necrosis due to its Ne1Ne1Ne2Ne2 genotype, and its NIL sibling ShunMai yyAf consistently expresses normal phenotype due to its Ne1Ne1ne2ne2 genotype. The two NIL siblings, ShunMai yyAh and ShunMai yyAf, could be used for the positional cloning of Ne2 and identifying its products to understand the mechanism of wheat hybrid necrosis.
