Scleredema associated with multiple myeloma or MGUS: treatment report of four cases

Scleredema is rare scleroderma-like fibromucinosis characterized by progressive thickening of the skin caused by excessive collagen and mucin depositions in the dermis, these disease may have a serious clinical course with organ involvement. In majority of scleredema cases, presence of monoclonal immunoglobulin (MIG) was detected. Various treatment regimens have been proposed, however with inconsistent outcomes. Here, we present our treatment experiences with four cases of scleredema associated with paraproteinemia.
