Application of combined process of double membrane and resin adsorption in advanced treatment of coking wastewater

As the coking wastewater which has been treated by AAO process still contains high concentrations of CODCr, NH3-N, Cl-, dissolved solids and so on, a combined process of ultrafiltration-resin adsorption-reverse osmosis was used for its treatment, the results showed that, the effluent water quality could meet the requirement for reuse water specified in GB 50050—2007 Code for Design of Industrial Recirculating Cooling Water Treatment, moreover, the problem of double membrane process represented by membrane parts pollution and plugging which requires frequent cleaning could be solved effectively. The flow of the said combined process as well as the explanation for the selection were introduced, besides, the design parameters of the main structures and the economic analysis thereof were pointed out. It could be seen that, the treatment cost of the said process was about 5.98 yuan/m3.
