Investigation and study on intelligence development of infants conceived by assisted reproductive technology

Objective: To explore the effect of assisted reproductive technology( ART) on intelligence development of infants. Methods: A case control study was conducted among the infants after IVF- ET,ICSI,F- ET and natural conception in the hospital from 2009 to 2012. The research groups included IVF- ET group,ICSI group and F- ET group. The children in control group were naturally conceived. The development quotient of infants in the two groups were compared. Results: There was no statistically significant difference in development quotient between control group and IVF- ET group,ICSI group,F- ET group( P 0. 05). Conclusion: ART has no impact on intelligence development of infants.
