Clinical analysis of EEG and BEAM of encephalon arterisoclerosis(35 cases report)

? Objective EEG and BEAM(Brain Electrical Activity Mapping) were observed in encephalon arteriosclerosis patients.Methods We assessed characteristics of EEG and BEAM in 35 encephalon arteriosclerosis with DYD 500 type equipment.Results The amplitude and frequency of EEG changed in the arteriosclerosis patients.The α index decreased,the amplitude modulation was worse and its silence stage disappeared.The BEAM could indicate the change that included forward movement,diffusion of α wave and β wave.Contemporary the power of θ band increased,especially in occiput.Conclusion EEG and BEAM were good objective indexes to early diagnosis and prognosis of encephalon arteriosclerosis.
