Determination of obetyolin in two kinds of different Sources Radix Codonopsis by HPLC

OBJECTIVE To establish the content evaluation method and Compare the quality of two different sources of lobetyolin in Radix Codonopsis. METHODS HPLC was used with chromatographic column: Syncronis C18( 250 ×4.6mm,5μm); mobile phase: acetonitrile-0.1% formic acid( 24∶76); flow rate: 1.0mL·min- 1; detection wavelength of 269nm. RESULTS The linear range of calibration curve was 0. 019 ~ 4. 836μg( r = 0. 9999),the average recovery was 100. 47% with RSD of 1. 17%( n = 5). The content of obetyolin in two kinds of different sources Radix Codonopsis were 0. 33mg·g- 1and 0. 37mg·g- 1by this method. CONCLUSION The established method is simple,accurate and reproducible,can be used for the quality evaluation of Radix Codonopsis.
