Research of Low Power Technologies in Smart Mobile Devices Based on Dynamic Power Management

摘要
The modern smart devices with high performance components consume much more battery power and shorten the battery lifetime,although they provide richer services for the end users. Some applications and services have to be shut off. As a result,the availability of the mobile terminal is affected,which degrades the user experience. The dynamic power management and dynamic voltage scaling are two major low power technologies for the mobile devices at the software level. This paper investigates the power models of three major power components and presents the main low power technologies. The experimental results show that the two low power approaches are effective for the hardware components of smart mobile devices.
