Abstract
Objective To investigate of the establishment of mild hypothermic cardiopulmonary bypass( CPB) on beating heart for Guangxi bama miniature pig.Methods Thirteen bama pigs weighted 32 ~ 40 kg were chosen,3 pigs were used for sampling blood,another 10 pigs were used for cardiopulmonary bypass.Pigs underwent chest incision under general anesthesia.The superior vena cava and the inferior vena cava were circumferentially mobilized and encircled with ties outside the pericadium to establish CPB,blocking superior and inferior vena cava cannulas without cross-clamping the aorta.The heart rate was maintained 50 to 80 bpm,the nasopharyngeal temperature was kept at 32 ~ 34 ℃,flow volumes were 80 ~ 100 ml·kg- 1·h- 1,mean arterial blood pressure were 60 ~80 mmHg,HCT were 20% ~ 25% during CPB procedure.Results One pig was died of hypoxia induced intubation to esophagus.One pig loss excessive blood when disassociated the inferior vena cave.One pig appeared transient ventricular fibrillation for 4s when CPB initiated.Esmolol was used when HR over 80bpm to induce adequate bradycardia effect.In two cases mild hemoglobinuria was experienced.Conclusion Establishment of mild hypothermic cardiopulmonary bypass on beating heart for Guangxi bama miniature pig was a ideal model for cardiac surgery on beating heart under CPB.
