Abstract
Objective: To provide anatomic materials for reconstruction of function of flexing elbow joint by the transposition of flexor carpi ulnaris for clinical practices. Method; The flexor carpi ulnaris and its nerves and blood vessel supplies were observed and measured on 50 cases of upper limb specimens in adult. Results; The length of flexor carpi ulnaris was 25.04 ±20 cm, the width and thickness of its middle portion was 2.60 ±0.1 cm and 0.65 ±0.3 cm respectively. The artery and nerve entered the flexor carpi ulnaris at 3.6 ±0.7 cm and 3.59 ±0. 8 cm beneath the line between the medial epicondyle of humerus and the lateral epicondyle of humerus respectively. Conclusion; The length of flexor carpi ulnaris is enough to translocate on operation and its nerves and blood vessel could meet the demand for the translocated flexor carpi ulnaris. The flexor carpi ulnaris will be separated and determined to transpose below the line between the medial epicondyle of humerus and the lateral epicondyle of humerus on operation, or the blood vessels and nerves of the flexor carpi ulnaris will be readily to be injured.
