摘要
Objective (1) To investigate the changes of metabolism and serum insulin like growth factor 1(IGF 1)level in male Sprague Dawley rats after trauma and infection;(2)To investigate the influence of the administration of exogenous growth hormone(GH) on the IGF 1 level and metabolism. Methods Sixty male SD rats(weight 290~310g)were randomly divided into GH group and controlled group (n=30).All rates were replicated into abdominal infection models by operation. The GH group were given GH(0.5Ukg 1day 1)for 7 days and the controlled group received saline.Blood samples were collected and analyzed for GH,IGF 1,total protein, albumin, prealbumin, transferrin and glucose concentrations a day before and 1,4,7 days after operation. Results The concentrations of IGF 1,total protein, albumin, prealbumin and transferrin decreased to some degree after operative trauma and infection, but the concentration of glucose and GH was elevated. The administration of exogenous GH promote hyperglycemia and elevate GH level, but the IGF 1,total protein, albumin, prealbumin and transferrin levels are not sygnificantly elevated 1 day and 4 days after operation Conclusions Because of the presence of GH resistance there is no indication of administration of exogenous GH early after trauma and infection.
