Diagnosis and treatment of combined thoracoabdominal injuries

Objective To discuss the diagnosis and treatment of combined thoracoabdominal injury( CTI).Methods The data of diagnosis and treatment of 46 cases of combined thoracoabdominal injuries were collected and summarized. Results A total of 45 patients were cured,and 1 died. The cause of the death was hemorrhagic shock. Conclusions Early diagnosis and prompt surgery is the key to rescue the life of the patients with combined thoracoabdominal injuries.
