Abstract
In order to investigate the effects of bFGF in the treatment of vitiligo, fifteen patients with vitiligo were treated with bFGF and autologous epidermal grafting. The results showed that the livability of the skin grafts with bFGF was 100%. By comparison with the control group, the revivification of pigment was faster and the pigment macule expanded markedly. No side effects were observed. It is suggested that autologous epidermal grafting combined with bFGF is a safe and highly effective therapeutics for vitiligo.
