Novel Interleaved Boost Converter for the Photovoltaic Power Generation System

A new kind of interleaved parallel Boost DC/DC converter is put forward for the two levels photovoltaic power generation system.It has two input ports that a Boost converter using dual input power corresponds to two solar batteries,and has the function of high power transformation.Compared with the traditional DC/DC converter,the proposed novel Boost converter has the advantages of high voltage conversion ratio and low output current ripple.The basic operating principle of the DC/DC Boost converter is illustrated using periodic steady-state circuit analysis for each mode equivalent circuit.Finally,the effectiveness of the proposed Boost converter built and tested as a 96 W/380 V output is verified and evaluated on the basis of theoretical circuit analysis.
