Study on International Protection of China's Geographical Indications in Post TRIPS Era

Geographical indications,as objects of intellectual property rights,have been recognized by many of the international convention on intellectual property rights. Geographical indication protection takes foreign Paris Convention,TRIPS Agreementand other important international convention as the legal basis,and it is an important subject of intellectual property scholars needed to be studied.Foreign protection of geographical indication in China includes overseas famous product of geographical indication protection in China and our products of geographical indication protection registered overseas. Foreign protection of geographical indication is of great important for promoting the expansion of industrial scale,enhancing the international competitiveness of agricultural products,the value of country's foreign services and so on. But foreign protection of international society of geographical indications on the trade balance and the members of the pursuit of interests has been controversial and contradictory,and China,as a geographical indication power,should take proper strategies to realize the maximum value of geographical indications in China.
