Sequential development of follicular dendritic cell sarcoma to diffuse large B-cell lymphoma: one case report and discussion on its possible mechanism

This article reports a rare case of sequential development of follicular dendritic cell sarcoma (FDCS) to diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL), and discusses the possible role of FDCS in facilitatinging genesis and development of DLBCL. It suggests that tumor microenvironment variation and transdifferentiation of tumor cells may be the two important mechanisms for this sequential development. DOI:10.3781/j.issn.1000-7431.2014.08.016
