Extraction and Determination of Total Flavonoids in Mirabilis himalaica Roots

To determine the optimum extraction process of total flavonoids from Mirabilis himalaica roots and determination of its content. Single factor experiments and orthogonal design to spectrophotometric determination of total flavonoids as indexes,research Mirabilis himalaica roots in ethanol ultrasonic extraction under optimum extraction process and determine its content. The optimum extraction of total flavonoids Mirabilis himalaica roots as follows: 45% ethanol,ultrasonic time of 55 min,solid- liquid ratio of 1 ∶ 25 under the conditions of ultrasonic extraction three times,total flavonoid content was 2. 64%. This method is fast,easy,economical and reliable,the effect is significant,etc.,can provide a scientific basis for the development and use of the Mirabilis himalaica roots of total flavonoids.
