Safety treatment for virus wastewater from hospital

Since epidemic viral wastewater would be released during medical treatment of patients suffering from virus disease in hospital, especially the cure of patients with a typical pneumonia, the properties of disinfection ways such as chlorine, chlorine dioxide, ozone and UV irradiation to remove bacteria and virus were discussed. These methods were successfully used for wastewater treatment. Their comparison on technical and economic performance was subsequently analyzed. The data suggested that chlorine dioxide, ozone and UV irradiation were apt to wastewater disinfection for hospital. Based on the quality constituents of wastewater from hospital and the demand with no virus dispersion and secondly pollution of the disposal processes, new effective disposal processes for the pretreatment of viral wastewater, such as wet air oxidation, supercritical water oxidation, low-strength organic anaerobic reactor, membrane bioreactor, biological fluidized bed et al, were thereafter presented in this paper.
