Research Progress on Metabolism of Tanshinones Metabolism together with Metabolites Interactions in vivo and in vitro

Tanshinones possess a wide range of pharmacological activities and also can be metabolized into multiple products, interacting with various drugs. This paper on metabolisms and drug interactions of tanshinones are summarized by reviewing the related literatures in recent years. The aim of this article is to reveal the reason of tanshinones pharmacological activities and the mechanism of tanshinones drug interactions, according to metabolite as well as their pathways,CYPs et al, and put forward the problems and suggestions to provide evidence for clinical rational administration and drug safety, which offer the reference for the further development of tanshinones.
