Abstract
OBJECTIVE To understand the situation of application of antibacterials in perioperative period in certain hospital,so as to offer evidence for reinforcing the rational use and standard management of antibacterial.METHODS Totally 702 case files of patients with typeⅠincision operation(breast and thyroid surgeries) between from Jan 2008 to Dec 2008 were randomly selected for the analysis.RESULTS The preventative antibiotics usage in typeⅠincision operation was 97.4%;the frequency ranking of the perioperative antibiotics application was penicillins,and the second and third generation cephalosporins;the average time of antibiotic using after operation was 2.6 days;the patients started antibiotic administration within 0.5-2 hours before operation accounted for 100.0%.CONCLUSIONS There are some problems existed in application of antibacterials in typeⅠincision operation during perioperative period,such as high usage of antibacterials,inappropriate option on antibacterials selection and excess time of antibiotics application and so on.It is necessary to pay attention to the focal point as well as strengthen the management and improve the rationality of application of antibacterials.
