Abstract
Growth of new semi organic nonlinear optical material Bis Thiourea Lithium Potassium Sulphate (BTLKS) single crystals have been grown at 40 °C temperature by slow evaporation method. The cell parameters of the grown crystal are calculated by single crystal XRD. The functional groups are confirmed by FTIR spectral studies. The optical constants and the lower cut-off wavelength of BTLKS have been studied by UV–vis-NIR spectrophotometer. The mechanical stability of BTLKS is tested by Vickers hardness tester. The second harmonic generation efficiency of BTLKS is obtained by Nd:YAG laser by Kurtz - Perry powder technique and it was found to be 1.7 times that of pure lithium potassium sulphate (LKS) single crystals.
