摘要
•Development of new paints with tailored electrical properties using MWCNTs in low content (below 3wt.%) and commercial base paint.•Good dispersion of the MWCNTs in the base paint was obtained using the high shear forces technique called three roll mills.•The electrical conductivity values achieved were of up to a magnitude order of 10−2S/cm and 3wt.% of MWCNTs.•Percolation threshold takes place with low content of MWCNTs (between 1.5 and 3wt.%).•New paints present better behavior against environmental degradation than the pristine paint.
