Abstract
The aim this study was evaluate total knee arthroplasty success, throw gait analysis patients who underwent a surgery according objective indicators. Material and methods: Fourteen patients participated in study who suffered from a certain type gonarthrosis. Data were gathered(collected) using a commercial OptiTrack system for motion using six infrared cameras. Markers placed on patients’ lower extremities, on previously determined anatomical regions. After recording the data processed using computing environment MATLAB. Results: Observing our lab results we noticed a significant reduction in range motion (ROM) arthritic knees in relation the healthy knees. ROM reduction primarily related flexion and extension, as well as medial and lateral translation. Following the TKA, ROM increases, and these values get close to the values that measured in a healthy knee. The results presented using graphs for a healthy, damaged and operated knee, and values of corresponding parameters given using tables. Conclusion: Using results we showed that there is a big in the movement pattern of patients with gonarthrosis before and after the TKA and that that difference can be determined successfully quickly using Optitrack system.
