Surveillance of Aedes aegypti indoors and outdoors using Autocidal Gravid Ovitraps in South Texas during local transmission of Zika virus, 2016 to 2018

摘要
•Indoor and outdoor relative abundance data for Aedes aegypti are provided over a period of 1.5 years in South Texas.•Higher mosquito abundance was observed indoors in low income communities.•Increase in temperature correlates with an increase in outdoor mosquito population but not for the indoor population.•Ten locally-acquired human cases of Zika virus occurred in nearby communities concurrent with this study 6,911 female Ae. aegypti were tested negative for Zika and chikungunya viruses RNA.
