A source location privacy protection scheme based on ring-loop routing for the IoT.

•Adding the diversity and length of routing path can effectively increase the safety time of the network. However, the restriction of energy consumption should be carefully considered. In this paper, we propose a Source Location Privacy Protection Scheme Based on Ring-loop Routing (SLPRR) in WSNs for IoT to solve the above problems. First, we consider three types of routing in this paper, which are ring routing, proposed confused time domain, and backbone routing, respectively. By utilizing these three routing, the diversity and the length of routing path are enhanced a lot. Hence, so do the safety time. Then, rings are created only in the non-hotspot area, which means that the energy consumption made by rings will not influence the network lifetime. Simulation results show that our proposed SLPRR scheme has better performance compared with the existing schemes.
