Abstract
The research illustrates the performance analysis of Half-adder (HA) and optimizes the Q-factor, Extinction Ratio (ER), Bit Error Rate (BER), Eye diagram and Input power range for best performance of a specific model. The model implements Highly Non-Linear Fiber (HNLF) of 1 km length which employs cross phase modulation (XPM) where the whole system is operating on 30 Gbps. In this research, the BER, variance of ER vs input power, and Q-factor vs input power are scrutinized meticulously to find the best operating region.
