Abstract
•Deficits in neuromuscular control are associated with CAI.•Neuromuscular control during ankle inversion perturbations were assessed.•Longer reflex latency and altered ankle kinematics were found in CAI.•Similar motor control strategies were used when the perturbations was expected.•More research is needed investigating anticipatory motor control in CAI.
