Paeoniflorin (PF) attenuated cardiac hypertrophy, myocardial interstitial fibrosis, myocyte apoptosis, and inflammatory infiltration, and subsequently improved LV function. The cardioprotective effect of paeoniflorin is associated with the inhibition of the MAPK signaling pathway.
