Abstract
Upper eyelid gold weight implants are an established tool in the symptomatic treatment of lagophthalmos, the inability to close your eyes completely. Complications associated to this procedure are infrequent. When noted, non-infectious inflammatory reactions corresponding to type IV hypersensitivity reactions are resolved with the removal of the implant. Here, we report a case of a late B-cell cutaneous pseudolymphoma in a patient, four years after the removal of the weight that showed strongly positive patch tests to gold sodium thiosulfate.
