Abstract
•Serum levels of catecholamines and angiotensin II were monitored in dolphins during short dives.•Short dives induced an increase in serum noradrenaline (NA) and bradycardia.•No statistical changes in the serum adrenaline or angiotensin II were observed.•NA is a candidate for the vasoconstrictor involved in redistributing blood flow during diving.
