A multi-country study to assess the effect of a treatment with moxidectin pour-on during the dry period on milk production in dairy cows

•First randomized trial on effects of moxidectin treatment on milk yield in Western Europe.•Moxidectin treatment results in a slower decay of the milk production in the treated animals compared to untreated animals.•Increase of milk yield with up to 2.35kg/day was observed, depending on the study region and parity of the cows.
