Abstract

•The study is to determine the outcomes of local bone graft with PEEK cage in ACDF.•Patients in local bone group had shorter operation time, lower complications rate.•Local bone graft also brought better radiological results than iliac bone group.•The local bone graft with a PEEK cage is a safe alternative procedure for ACDF.
