Abstract

•The use of diffusion weighted imaging (DWI) is proposed to distinguish cystitis glandularis from carcinoma.•DWI is non-invasive, easy to perform, time saving and requires no contrast agents.•No other imaging protocol has shown better discrimination than DWI in this context.
