Estimation of myocardial extracellular volume fraction with cardiac CT in subjects without clinical coronary artery disease: A feasibility study.

•ECV determination is technically feasible in a standard clinical context without extra contrast medium as part of comprehensive cardiac CT at a moderate dose level (11 mSv).•Reproducibility is good enough to enable further clinical studies on patients with pathologies.•Absolute quantitative numbers and regional/age/gender related effects agree well with previously reported values with MRI.
