Occurrence of fibronectin-fibrin complexes in plasma of patients with multimorbidity due to the inflamm-aging phenomenon.

•Plasma FN–fibrin complexes accompanied chronic diseases with low-grade inflammation.•The decrease of plasma FN monomer was related to multimorbidity.•The decrease of FN and of EDA-FN concentrations was associated with multimorbidity.•The increase of FN and decrease of EDA-FN with aging were observed.•The plasma FN molecular status was associated with micro-inflammation and micro-coagulation.
