Abstract
We consider the theory of radiative transport in quasi-homogeneous random media. We derive the radiative transport equation that governs the propagation of light in such media. This result provides conditions under which it is justified to apply radiative transport theory to spatially inhomogeneous media. (C) 2018 Optical Society of America.
