Detection of autoantibodies against cancer-testis antigens in non-small cell lung cancer

•The immunogenic property of CTAs can result in the production of autoantibodies in cancer patients.•A highly multiplex array technology was used to identify autoantibodies to CTAs in plasma of NSCLC patients.•Reactivity against many CTAs was detected in NSCLC but also in less extent in plasma of patients with benign lung diseases.•We confirmed the reactivity of six CTAs that were exclusively reactive in NSCLC plasma.
