Neurological factors and Cesarean section in Australian women with epilepsy

•Cesarean section rate in Australian women increased from 26.0% to 37.3%.•In women with epilepsy, the corresponding figures were 34–48%.•Analysis identified characteristics associated with increased likelihood of Cesarean section.•Seizures in third trimester, chronic illness, migraine, were relevant characteristics.
