Protective role of l-glutamic acid and l-cysteine in mitigation the chlorpyrifos-induced oxidative stress in rats.

•The level of GSH and activity of GSH-related enzymes in rats were reduced by CPF treatment.•l-Glu and l-Cys were able to reduce CPF-induced oxidative stress.•The best mitigation effects were found in rats which were administered l-Glu alone.
