Gastric digestion of cow and goat milk: Peptides derived from simulated conditions of infant digestion

•In each sample, over 350 peptides were identified by mass spectrometry.•Caseins represented the majority of the peptides.•Peptides with known bioactivities were observed.•After gastric digestion, peptide formation from goat milk was distinct to cow milk.
