Structural alterations in the caudate nucleus and precuneus in un-medicated anorexia nervosa patients.

•We investigated brain structural alteration in un-medicated AN patients.•Relatively larger caudate volume and reduced cortical thickness at the left precuneus was found.•Cortical thinning was more prominent in the left hemisphere in AN patients.•Above structural brain abnormalities in patients with AN may shed light on the psychopathological processes underlying the disrupted eating behavior.
