Abstract

•Two novel naturally Diels-Alder additive steroids (1 and 2) were isolated from Aspergillus sp.•Both of 1 and 2 constructed a novel 6/6/6/6/5 pentacyclic ring system.•Both 1 and 2 exhibited potential MptpB inhibition effects via a noncompetitive inhibition mechanism with an IC50 value of 15.1 and 30.1 μM, respectively.•Binding interactions with protein were predicted.•1 and 2 showed strong anti-inflammatory activities.
