Comparison of long-term clinical outcomes between revascularization versus medical treatment in patients with silent myocardial ischemia

•In patients with silent ischemia, the role of revascularization is uncertain and previous studies show conflicting results.•This study showed a significantly lower risk of mortality in the revascularization group than in the medical treatment group.•Patients with resolution of ischemia showed significantly lower risk of cardiac death than those with residual ischemia after PCI.
