Portable ultrasound imaging system with super-resolution capabilities.

•Ultrasound Coherent Imaging (UCI) is a model-based plane wave imaging method.•Reduced front-end electronics complexity by compressing RF signals in analog domain.•RF signals modulated with pseudo-random sequences of 1’s and 0’s before summation.•Images estimated using elastic nets regularized regression method.•Demonstrated resolution improvement of 13 times compared to delay-and-sum method.
