摘要
•This study aims to improve the accuracy of TE in estimating coupling strength and direction by introducing HPSO.•Multiclass simulation models with uni- or bi-directional coupling are constructed to validate HPSO in TE calculation.•The implication of the HPSO improved the accuracy of the TE in estimating the corticomuscular coupling in humans.
