摘要

•Two studies were conducted to examine MAIH in relation to depressive rumination.•Under conditions of congruence between mood & task valence, the MAIH was supported.•Under conditions of incongruence, participants defaulted to stop rule.•Findings provide insight into factors that lead to depressive rumination.
