摘要
Aim: To establish a novel retinal angiography method, red-free angiography (RFA), to investigate retinal changes in age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and polypoidal choroidal vasculopathy (PCV). Methods: Following the venous phase of fundus fluorescein angiography (FFA), the detection mode was switched to red-free reflectance to acquire RFA images using the same parameters. Results: RFA showed subretinal fluid, polyps, and outer retinal tubulation, with a higher definition than the FFA and red-free reflectance results. Conclusions: The absorption coefficients in RFA provided more detailed images for AMD and PCV diagnosis. RFA is therefore a promising approach to supplement FFA.
