Cortical thickness and gyrification patterns in patients with psychogenic non-epileptic seizures.

•Our findings partly corroborate but also differ from two previously published brain morphometry studies in PNES.•Findings point to a highly heterogeneous disorder in terms of phenomenology, outcome and presumably aetiology.•The results of this study contradict highly reductionist views and dualistic approaches to our understanding of PNES.
